Born and raised in Texas, Johnny Rose is a true man of God who loves the Lord with all his heart, soul and mind who knows what it means to protect and serve his community. Since putting on his first pair of boots and a cowboy hat as a child, Johnny has yearned to wear that badge of honor living out Psalms 82:3-4, “Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. Rescue the poor and helpless; deliver them from the grasp of evil people.” (NLT)

A family man

When he’s not protecting the citizens of Hood County, Johnny is raising his own army at home. Johnny and his wife, Lucinda, have been married for almost 11 years and have seven children they call their own. With the two eldest now on their own, they adopted four children a couple of years ago after fostering them for seven years. They adopted another daughter recently after she jumped from foster home to foster home for four years.

He strives everyday to encourage all of his children to love and serve the Lord with everything that they have. The blessings and chaos of a blended family comes with its own ups and downs but Johnny wouldn’t trade his life for anything because at the end of the day he knows he’s doing the Lord’s work. Johnny continues to work as a peace officer for another agency adding to his 32 years of law enforcement experience.

After serving with the Hood County Sheriff’s Office for 28 years, Johnny felt ordained by God to try his hand at running as your next Sheriff. Bringing Jesus back into government is his goal. For far too long, Jesus has not been a part of the conversation in government. That has been our downfall.

Since COVID-19 struck communities all over the world three years ago, we’ve all seen the havoc and evil the devil has plagued God’s children with. But not anymore. To fellow believers, it’s time to step up. God gave us power and authority, and it’s time that we took a stand and fight. Fight for your family. Fight for your city, your county, your state, your country and your world!

Fight for Jesus because he fought for you on that cross when he died for your sins. The world was dark that day, but three days later Jesus rose from the dead and bought you a ticket to Heaven to be with the Father. Don’t let that ticket go to waste!
